We truly believe that together we can do great things for God.

God Bless,
Pastor Don & Sue

Don was born and raised in Northern California. After high school, he moved out of state. In 1978, he returned to California, after a failed marriage. On December 13th, Don gave his life to the Lord. Shortly after that, he met Sue at New Life Assembly in Marysville, California. On Valentine’s Day 1979, they began dating and were married later that year.

After graduating from Bible School in May of 1981 he was offered a position in Burney, California. Don and Sue moved to Burney in August of 1981. They became the Associate Pastors in charge of the Christian School for Burney Assembly of God.

In August of 1983, the Lord opened the door for them to become the Pastors of Grace Bible Church in Bieber, California. This turned out to be a unique opportunity. Don and Sue were both saved in the Assemblies of God and the church in Bieber was not of the Pentecostal persuasion. They taught the Word of God without compromise and God blessed and changed many lives. The ministry grew and flourished under their leadership.

In June of 1989, Don and Sue followed the leading of the Lord and left Bieber moving to Cameron Park, California. It was here that they launched Solid Rock Faith Center in August of 1989. They knew they had found their home, and the place where they would reach and fulfill their destiny in God.

Solid Rock Faith Center was started in the conference room of the Super 8 Motel in Cameron Park. SRFC moved into its 3rd location in 1994 and has expanded to over 18,000 sq. ft. of facility. In October of 2006, they opened the Lord’s Gym of El Dorado County, Inc., a youth sports outreach facility. This had been a vision of SRFC since 1999.

Don and Sue have four children and nine grandchildren. They are truly blessed and thankful to the Lord for His goodness in all of their lives!

Sue’s father was in the United States Air Force for 20 years. During this time Sue’s family lived in many different locations throughout the United States as well as spending four years in Germany.

Up until she was twelve years old, Sue and her brothers attended Sunday school occasionally. By attending church services, Sue gained a knowledge of God, but did not know that you must be “born again.”  When Sue was a senior in high school, she found out that over the summer, one of her good friends had started attending church and had a life-changing experience with God. This friend invited Sue to her church, New Life Assembly, in Marysville, California.

Sue attended church for several weeks and even went out with the youth group for a street witnessing outreach. They kept telling her that she needed to be saved. At the time, Sue did not understand what that really meant, but some irresistible force (the Holy Spirit) kept drawing her. Finally, one night at a youth rally, the Holy Spirit gripped Sue’s heart and she knew that she had to give her life to God. That is the night she was saved, and not long afterward she received the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Sue is a wife, a mother of 4 children, a grandmother of 9, and the co-pastor of Solid Rock Faith Center.
