Sue’s father was in the United States Air Force for 20 years. During this time Sue’s family lived in many different locations throughout the United States as well as spending four years in Germany.
Up until she was twelve years old, Sue and her brothers attended Sunday school occasionally. By attending church services, Sue gained a knowledge of God, but did not know that you must be “born again.” When Sue was a senior in high school, she found out that over the summer, one of her good friends had started attending church and had a life-changing experience with God. This friend invited Sue to her church, New Life Assembly, in Marysville, California.
Sue attended church for several weeks and even went out with the youth group for a street witnessing outreach. They kept telling her that she needed to be saved. At the time, Sue did not understand what that really meant, but some irresistible force (the Holy Spirit) kept drawing her. Finally, one night at a youth rally, the Holy Spirit gripped Sue’s heart and she knew that she had to give her life to God. That is the night she was saved, and not long afterward she received the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Sue is a wife, a mother of 4 children, a grandmother of 9, and the co-pastor of Solid Rock Faith Center.
